Move To Bordeaux By Klidjè Thibault And Aspirational Aims

Lately, Klidjè Thibault, an upcoming player from Togo, made a contract with Bordeaux and is busy making a career in professional football. In this exclusive, he discusses his transfer to Bordeaux, future objectives, and the scandal involved in his transfer.

Settling Down in Bordeaux and Career Plans

Q: You recently signed with an impressive club, Bordeaux (Ligue 1, France). How is it going with your new club?

I came in February, and I must say, it was a warm reception. Everything about being in a professional setup has been enjoyable and quite challenging. I am training alongside players and coaches who do not allow me to do anything less than the best. For now, I am training with the reserve team, where there are lots of other young, gifted players. It’s rather an exciting undertaking, but sadly, one injury and the end of the season, have slowed me down. I, however, look forward to healing fully and getting back to the right course.

Q: What are your ambitions with Bordeaux?

Football has always been part of my life. It is quite exciting to be at the training ground of a team like Bordeaux, which inspires me to work and become a good footballer. The short term goal is to play in the reserve side then the long term is to step up into the senior team. I hope one day I will play for Bordeaux in French league one and in European tournaments.

Controversy Surrounding the Transfer

Q: There has been some controversy around your transfer to Bordeaux. Can you explain what happened?

It is unfortunate that I have to read some untruths that are currently making rounds in the media. Of late, I’ve been the victim of a witch hunt organized by a duplicitous adviser. This was after he lost some leverage after he had hitherto controlled all the decisions concerning my career. Going to Congo was, therefore, only an option to get away from the threats of this individual. He fabricated a story about my trial in Bordeaux, attempted to corner me into signing for a rival team, and even went as far as issuing threats to me and my family. In spite of this, I kept my eyes on the prize, and I can’t say I’m unhappy about moving to Bordeaux.

Overcoming Challenges and Looking Forward

Despite the challenges Klidjè Thibault has faced, he is looking forward to a brighter footballing future. He is determined to make the best of the resources available at his new club by concentrating on getting fit, sharpening his game and readying himself to play for had subsidised Bosporus and the national team of Togo respectively.
