Until the Koroki’s defeat, Gomido had been the momentary leader
In an interesting 6th round of the Togolese D1 football championship, Gomido made its way back to the summit while the last year champions Koroki went down. This week was full of action, goals, and other surprises throughout the league. Now let us go to the review of the results and the main events, as well as to the standings.
This round saw Gomido regain the leadership position after an impressive win of 2-0 against Asko. Goals were scored by Klidjè Thibault and Lamboni Damigou as Gomido turned out to be overbearing at home and took charge of the standings with 12 points. In other news, Koroki suffered yet another painful loss, this time 3-1 to As Togo Port which also saw them exit the relegation places.
Young international Akoro Bilali was On Fire once again, as he assisted As OTR to thrash Anges de Notsè by 3-1. Bilali scored the first goal early in the match, and it was all one way traffic for OTR who are now ranked 3rd with 10 points in the standing after the round.
In another match of the day, AS Togo Port beat Koroki after several attempts earlier on the season to gain any points. In their match against Foadan, which ended up in a 1-1 draw for Sara FC, the last minute goal was enough to keep them unbeaten and in the 2nd position.
On the other hand, Dyto’s struggles continued as they were defeated 1-0 by Gbikinti, while Gbohloé-Su fell to Sémassi by a single goal.
